Description
To develop a free neuropsychological battery for assessing women survivors of IPV in Portugal: the BELIEVE Battery.
BELIEVE will serve the following Overall Research Objectives (ORO):
ORO 1) On a research level, to enhance knowledge regarding brain injury caused by intimate partner violence (IPV) and neuropsychological impairment among women survivors of IPV in Portugal to inform the care and scientific study of IPV consequences in neuroscience, psychology, medicine and forensics.
ORO 2) From an applied perspective, to improve access to a free and culturally adapted assessment tool in diverse contexts in Portugal, including medical facilities, domestic violence shelters and in legal settings.
