Abstract
Cerebellar abscesses are treacherous due to their impredictable presentation and course. Generally recognized as otogenic intracranial complications, correct diagnosis and management, namely mastoidectomy and abscess excision, are not always effective in changing overall mortality. Diagnosis and management are commented on after revision of a group of ten patients in which only the last one was clinically recognized as suffering from the illnes and successfully operated upon.
