Abstract

This study aimed to determine the temporal parameters in the rotational shot-put phases and shot-put release conditions in elite athletes. To analyze your correlation with the result and to analyze the differences between the male and female athletes. Eight elite athletes were analyzed. The 3D kinematic analysis was applied, through two high-speed cameras and a calibration volume (3.67mx2.05mx3.68m) to use the 3DDLT. The results showed that release velocity is a determinant factor to higher performance. Furthermore, the athletes with high performance performed a final phase with smaller temporal results, the results showed that the female athletes with small performance need to perform at a proper rhythm in the shot-put throw's final phase.
