Abstract
On the naturalization of Acer campestre L. in the Sintra mountain (Portugal). Acer campestre L. (Aceraceae) naturalization is confirmed for Sintra mountain, specifically in the municipality of Cascais (Estremadura province, Portugal). We discuss its potential spontaneity, historically considered possible for Portugal, and its introduction as a forest species, particularly in the region of Lisbon.
