Abstract

We show that two early, multi-volume works on the Portuguese flora, all authored by Felix de Avelar Brotero, have the following publication dates: Flora Lusitanica: 1804 and Phytographia Lusitaniae selectior: 1801 (fasciculus 1), 1817 (vol-ume 1) and 1834/1835 (volume 2).
