Deconstructing Myths Around Aquaculture and Insects for Food

This project aims to design an intervention that can help detect and hopefully change judgmental attitudes and beliefs of high school and college students regarding food sectors that have a negative public perception, specifically aquaculture and insects as food. The target audience will be defined and structured information will be collected using the focus group method. From the results of the focus groups, we will design and implement a survey to evaluate pre-intervention knowledge and beliefs regarding these products. Subsequently, we will design the intervention and its materials, implementing the intervention. Afterwards, the survey will be repeated to assess any changes in judgmental attitudes and beliefs in the target audience. The data obtained during the project will help assess the efficacy of interventions regarding the deconstructing of myths around controversial food sectors.
