Description
The purpose of this project is to address theoretical and
methodological considerations in priority research areas to increase our understanding of the impact of Human Animal Interaction (HAI) in Parkinson's Disease (PD), applying One Health care in noncommunicable disease.
We aim to identify under which circumstances the Human Animal (Dog) interaction (HAI) would be an effective strategy to:
i) Improve physical activity level and motor function,
ii) Reduce distress;
iii) Prevent cognitive decline, and;
iv) Act as an active external cueing and coadjutant in daily
life routines for people with Parkinson´s.
