Description
The study investigates maternal periodontal status association with newborns' immune and inflammatory levels by measuring immunoglobulins (salivary, fecal, and breast milk) and fecal calprotectin. We will compare breastfed and formula-fed infants to clarify breast milk's role in neonatal immune responses and inflammatory markers influenced by maternal health. Ultimately, MAPIIS will expand our understanding of the effects of maternal periodontal infection on the oro-mammary translocation immune factors.
