Resumo
Correlated morphological and biochemical studies were performed on dissociated-attached cell cultures from embryonic mouse cerebral hemispheres grown for periods up to 40 days. Early in culture, cell contacts formed occasionally between neuronal processes and oligodendrocytes. Multilayered membranous material was identified only after 30 days in culture and displayed an alternation of electron-lucent and electron-dense lamellae with a periodicity of 10.2 nm.
